Except, if you watch the movies, it’s pretty clear that Thor and his cohorts are all just a highly advanced civilization. Like, it’s clearly explained. They’re not actually gods, they are technologically advanced aliens which a human civilization interpreted as their deities.

I just quoted that from memory, that’s how basic this information is. So, given that Thor and Loki are not, in fact, gods, Captain America here is still free to believe in his own religion.
